The use of a firm known nationally for its strikebreaking skills as "security" to watch and videotape those on picket lines is sheer intimidation...The introduction of "replacement workers," more colourfully known as "scabs," to do some of the work usually done by striking workers puts the university administration into the category of those employers with an anti-union reputation. Salary increments should never be based on a supervisor's performance review, particularly when workers have no right to an appeal. Saskatoon/Regina: Striking university workers voted 85% to reject the employers' final offer at membership meetings in Regina and Saskatoon. The ballots were counted this afternoon.Bargaining is scheduled to resume on Friday, November 30.
